Animal Care Associates is a no-kill, all-volunteer rescue group that was formed in 1998 to serve animals in the greater Lackawanna county area. We are currently recruiting new volunteers for a variety of roles including fostering, cat care, fundraising, and social media.
Our goal is to find a loving home for every animal we take into our care. Throughout our adoption process, we do everything we can to help our cats find their FURever homes and to help you find the PURRfect addition to your family. Our knowledgeable volunteers are always willing to provide guidance to ensure both cats and humans are happy with their new family members.

Our cats are primarily housed in volunteer foster homes, which helps us learn about their personalities and evaluate them with respect to the ideal living situation for each cat. Our most outgoing cats get to spend some time at PetSmart in Dickson City where they hope to catch the eye of potential adopters. We often bring other available cats to adoption events so they can visit with potential adopters as well. You can view our entire list of available cats here.
